Beautiful
Lake Harriet, nestled in South Minneapolis, one of the
chain of lakes in the highly acclaimed Minneapolis park
system, is the place to be for sailing fun. From the
first week in May through mid-September, Lake Harriet
Yacht Club (LHYC) sponsors regattas, weekly club sailboat
races, Wednesday night races, as well as seminars for
sailors of all skill levels.
LHYC also maintains an active social calendar of outings,
parties and picnics for families, couples, singles,
the young and the young at heart. We’d love to have
you as a member.
Lake Harriet Yacht Club is an organization dedicated
to the support of sailing and sailboat racing on the
lake since 1941.

and sailing pavilion east of the Lake Harriet Band Shell.
The Band Shell is located on the northwest shore of the
lake near the intersection of W. 42nd Street and W. Lake
Harriet Parkway. The sailboat dock is located next to the
boat launch. Parking is available in the lot north of the
boat launch, in the lot west of the Band Shell, or on the
